If you have never tried crochet before or you are looking for some help and advice on how to improve with your crochet skills, this course is for you. If you are new to crochet, Lisa will help you to pick up a crochet hook (possibly for the first time) and by the end of the first week you will have created your first granny square(s) which you will be able to use to create your own blanket, scarf or other garment. During the six-week course you will continue to develop your crochet skills and by the end of the course you will be well on your way to creating your very own sample containing various crochet stitches you will be able to use on projects of your own. You will learn basic crochet stitches and follow a basic pattern and you will be given handouts you can refer to when you are back at home. It will also provide those with previous experience an opportunity to hone, build and share knowledge with more advanced patterns available for those who would like to come along and already have some crochet experience. If you have previously attended one of our crochet courses or workshops or are just looking to continue your crochet journey Lisa will be able to provide tailored guidance and support on your next crochet project. All materials are included in the cost of the workshop including a range of wool to choose from and your own crochet hook. For anyone not following the beginners programme, wool and patterns will be available for you to choose from. Every Sunday from 11th January - 15th February 2026 10am - 12.30pm with Lisa Silver This workshop takes place at: North Yorks Art School 2-4 South Street Scarborough YO11 2BP Includes all materials and refreshments.
