Available spaces
Have you ever wanted to write a novel but don’t know where to start? Do you have the idea for a story but are unsure how to formulate it into something enjoyable and coherent? Anna will guide you through the process of crafting a novel, including; research and planning, plotting, scene-setting, characterisation, problem-solving, and dealing with writer’s block. Bring a notebook and pen, and all your ideas: you will leave well-equipped and with the confidence to start your story! Short story writers and poets also welcome, although the main focus of the course will be novel-writing. Anna has been writing since she was a young girl, and confidently announced to her primary school teacher that she would be an author one day. She has published six novels and is presently working on two more. She predominantly writes Historical Fiction, but has also published a fantasy novel, and is about to release a ghost story and a modern day work. She loves to write about the complex relationships between people, and about what motivates her characters. Although often dark in tone, all her books are underpinned by the themes of love and humour.
