Join us for a all-day workshop exploring the Japanese art of amigurumi, the charming practice of crocheting tiny, adorable stuffed creatures. These little characters are usually worked in a continuous spiral from a tight magic ring and are loved for their compact, rounded shapes and irresistible personality. Led by Lisa Silver, this one-day class is designed for crocheters who already know the basic stitches (chain, single crochet, double extra crochet) and want to turn those skills into something small, cute and complete. In this friendly, hands-on session you will learn the key techniques that make amigurumi so distinctive – the magic ring, working in the round, increasing and decreasing to create neat little forms – before putting them into practice on your own small animal. By the extra end of the day you will have a finished (or nearly finished) amigurumi to take home, along with the confidence to make more. Set in the welcoming, creative environment of North Yorks Art School, the workshop offers a relaxed and supportive atmosphere where you can ask questions, take your time, and enjoy the process of bringing a tiny character to life. Booking & Cancellation Policy Payment Options You can pay in full at the time of booking via card, Google Pay, Apple Pay or PayPal, or choose to pay a 25% deposit and pay the remaining balance 45 days before the event. Cash payment can be made in person at the school, shop or venue. Deposits A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place on Workshops, Courses and Residentials. This deposit is non-refundable in all circumstances. Balance Due If you pay by deposit, the remaining 75% balance must be paid no later than 45 days before the start date. We will send you a reminder email with a payment link. Cancellation Policy Courses & Workshops More than 8 weeks before start: Full refund minus £20 admin fee. 4–8 weeks before: 70% refund. 2–4 weeks before: 50% refund. Less than 2 weeks before or after start: No refund.
