Join multidisciplinary artist Louisa Boyd for an inspiring watercolour workshop at Cober Hill. Louisa Boyd is a highly respected professional artist with over twenty years of experience. Working across painting, printmaking, and sculpture, she is known for her beautiful, atmospheric watercolours that explore themes of landscape, place, belonging, and the natural world. Her work often features simplified forms, celestial symbols, sacred geometry, and a deep connection to the environment, creating paintings that are both contemplative and visually striking. Louisa has taught at prestigious institutions and regularly exhibits across the UK. In this workshop, Louisa will share her personal approach to watercolour painting, guiding you through her techniques for capturing mood, movement, and a powerful sense of place. You will learn how to simplify complex landscapes, work with delicate layers, and use watercolour in a more contemporary and expressive way. Whether you are a beginner wanting to build strong foundational skills or an experienced artist looking to develop a more personal and thoughtful style, Louisa’s calm, encouraging teaching style creates a supportive environment where everyone can flourish. Residential Details This masterclass includes a full board four-night stay in your own en-suite room at the scenic Cober Hill retreat, just outside Scarborough and includes all materials and equipment. Cancellation Policy
Booking & Cancellation Policy Payment Options You can pay in full at the time of booking via card, Google Pay, Apple Pay or PayPal, or choose to pay a 25% deposit and pay the remaining balance 45 days before the event. Cash payment can be made in person at the school, shop or venue. Deposits A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place on Workshops, Courses and Residentials. This deposit is non-refundable in all circumstances. Balance Due If you pay by deposit, the remaining 75% balance must be paid no later than 45 days before the start date. We will send you a reminder email with a payment link. Cancellation Policy Residential Stays at Cober Hill More than 12 weeks before arrival: Full refund minus £50 admin fee per person. 6–12 weeks before: 75% refund. 4–6 weeks before: 50% refund. Less than 4 weeks before: No refund. We strongly recommend you take out travel/holiday insurance for residential stays.
