Join us for this creative one-day Mixed Media workshop at North Yorks Art School, led by Molly Newham a talented Scarborough-based artist known for her vibrant and experimental approach to art. This workshop is perfect for beginners and those with some experience who want to explore the exciting possibilities of mixed media. In the morning, Molly will guide you through a series of clear demonstrations and hands-on practice sessions, introducing a range of exciting techniques including layering, texture building, collage, mark-making, and combining different media such as paint, ink, pastel and found materials. In the afternoon you will put your new skills into practice by creating your own original mixed media piece, with plenty of individual support and encouragement from Molly in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere. Whether you love abstract work, landscapes, still life, or simply enjoy playful experimentation, this workshop will give you the confidence to combine materials creatively and develop your own unique style. By the end of the day you will leave with a finished mixed media artwork to take home, along with a toolkit of new techniques and the inspiration to continue exploring mixed media in your own practice. Booking & Cancellation Policy Payment Options You can pay in full at the time of booking via card, Google Pay, Apple Pay or PayPal, or choose to pay a 25% deposit and pay the remaining balance 45 days before the event. Cash payment can be made in person at the school, shop or venue. Deposits A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place on Workshops, Courses and Residentials. This deposit is non-refundable in all circumstances. Balance Due If you pay by deposit, the remaining 75% balance must be paid no later than 45 days before the start date. We will send you a reminder email with a payment link. Cancellation Policy Courses & Workshops More than 8 weeks before start: Full refund minus £20 admin fee. 4–8 weeks before: 70% refund. 2–4 weeks before: 50% refund. Less than 2 weeks before or after start: No refund.
