Join professional mosaic artist Sue Kershaw for a creative and rewarding one-day workshop, where you will design and make your own beautiful mosaic birdbath. This hands-on workshop allows you to create a functional garden piece. You’ll have access to a wonderful collection of patterned and colourful tiles to transform a pre-prepared birdbath base into a unique garden feature. Sue will guide you through the entire process from planning your design and cutting tiles, to applying them with movement, flow, and visual interest. You can choose a traditional, contemporary, or completely personal style for your birdbath. If you have any special pieces of china or sentimental items you’d like to include, you’re very welcome to bring them along. What’s included: - Pre-prepared birdbath base - A wide selection of vintage china, glass, and porcelain tiles - All tools, adhesives, and grouting materials - Inspirational examples and design guidance This workshop is suitable for all abilities whether you’re a complete beginner or have some mosaic experience. It’s a friendly, relaxed, and informal day of creativity that results in a lovely, practical piece for your own garden or as a special gift. Sue is a professional mosaic artist, qualified teacher, and community artist. Since 2007 she has worked on a wide range of public and private mosaic projects across the UK, specialising in bringing colour, pattern, and joy to both indoor and outdoor spaces. Booking & Cancellation Policy Payment Options You can pay in full at the time of booking via card, Google Pay, Apple Pay or PayPal, or choose to pay a 25% deposit and pay the remaining balance 45 days before the event. Cash payment can be made in person at the school, shop or venue. Deposits A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place on Workshops, Courses and Residentials. This deposit is non-refundable in all circumstances. Balance Due If you pay by deposit, the remaining 75% balance must be paid no later than 45 days before the start date. We will send you a reminder email with a payment link. Cancellation Policy Courses & Workshops More than 8 weeks before start: Full refund minus £20 admin fee. 4–8 weeks before: 70% refund. 2–4 weeks before: 50% refund. Less than 2 weeks before or after start: No refund.
