Thursday Experimentation and Abstraction
Thursdays 2pm - 5pm
In Chris’s laid-back abstract and experimental session, explore free-form mark-making, unexpected materials, and intuitive colour play with no fixed outcome. The radio is playing low in the background, there's tea and coffee on the go and Chris will offer gentle prompts and encouragement only when wanted. Ideal for letting go of rules, embracing accidents, and enjoying pure creative flow in a supportive, pressure-free setting. Materials: For this class we recommend you have student grade (or above) acrylic or oil paint, large and small brushes, canvas or canvas paper, palette paper, low odour thinners (for oil painting). Please also bring any other painting materials you would like to bring along. If you are just starting out and don't know what you will need, don't worry, you can use our materials for £5 per session. We also sell a range of paper and canvas in individual sheets or custom sizes. Table easels or standing easels and boards are also provided. We also have a selection of materials and medium you can use to experiment within these sessions. Free tea, coffee and biscuits are provided. Cancellation Policy
Booking & Cancellation Policy Payment Options Customers may choose to pay in full at the time of booking or pay on the day of the class. You can pay in full at the time of booking via card, Google Pay, Apple Pay or PayPal, Cash payment can be made in person at the school or shop. Cancellation Policy Our Cancellation & Refund Policy (applies alongside statutory rights): • More than 7 days before the class: Full refund minus £5 administration fee, or a full credit to your customer bundle. • Between 7 days and 48 hours before the class: At our discretion, we may offer a rescheduled place within the following month. No refund will be given. • Less than 48 hours before the class or after the class has started: You will forfeit the full amount paid. No refund or credit to a bundle will be issued. Rescheduling / Transfers Rescheduling is only available at our discretion as outlined above. You may transfer your place to another person with at least 48 hours’ notice, subject to our approval.
