Wednesday Morning Painting
Wednesdays 10am - 12.30pm
This general painting class (using oil or acrylic) is suitable for beginners who have never painted before. It's also recommended for people with more experience who want access to tuition and advice. Beginners and more experienced painters alike will focus on colour and tone while looking at reproductions of master works which they will recreate (transpose). Those that prefer still life painting can set something up. Painters will be shown how to mix paint and to think about application and technique. Thick, thin, scribbly, orderly, gestural, blended - they will learn how to control paint by breaking down the processes. Regular attendance to these pay-as-you-go classes will help painters develop their skills. Materials: For this class we recommend you have student grade (or above) acrylic or oil paint, large and small brushes, canvas or canvas paper, palette paper, low odour thinners (for oil painting). Please also bring any other painting materials you would like to bring along. If you are just starting out and don't know what you will need, don't worry, you can use our materials for £5 per session. Our tutors and support staff will also be able to advise the best materials you may need to purchase. In addition to use of our kits, we are now selling a range of paper and canvas in individual sheets or custom sizes. Table easels or standing easels and boards are also provided. Cancellation Policy
Booking & Cancellation Policy Payment Options Customers may choose to pay in full at the time of booking or pay on the day of the class. You can pay in full at the time of booking via card, Google Pay, Apple Pay or PayPal, Cash payment can be made in person at the school or shop. Cancellation Policy Our Cancellation & Refund Policy (applies alongside statutory rights): • More than 7 days before the class: Full refund minus £5 administration fee, or a full credit to your customer bundle. • Between 7 days and 48 hours before the class: At our discretion, we may offer a rescheduled place within the following month. No refund will be given. • Less than 48 hours before the class or after the class has started: You will forfeit the full amount paid. No refund or credit to a bundle will be issued. Rescheduling / Transfers Rescheduling is only available at our discretion as outlined above. You may transfer your place to another person with at least 48 hours’ notice, subject to our approval.
