Join us for a week of artistic exploration at the restful and lovely Cober Hill, just outside Scarborough, North Yorkshire. This relaxing four-night, full board residential is designed to give you the perfect balance of gentle structure and freedom, with each day featuring a brand new workshop. Every day you will enjoy a fresh new class from our fantastic line-up of tutors. This is your chance to try exciting new techniques or develop skills you may have picked up previously. Think of them as an extension to our tasters or refreshers. The week offers a rich variety of disciplines, so you can dip your toes into something completely new or deepen your confidence in a favourite medium . You’ll enjoy workshops in: Capturing Movement in Watercolour & Impressionist Oil Painting with Garth Bayley Explore the expressive potential of watercolour as you use colour and brushstrokes to capture flow and movement in the morning and explore Impressionist painting in oil in the afternoon. Imaginative Wanderings Using Mixed Media with Molly Newham Discover how different materials work together or against each other to create surprising effects. Go large or small; the choice is yours. Explore Linocut Printmaking with Darya Savonina Dive into the art of linocut as you design your own plate and take home a series of prints and cards of your new design. In addition, you can choose to join our optional evening sessions, which include: - Murder Mystery Evening - Art History Talk - Quiz - Film Nights Or you may simply choose to unwind in the lounge area with a drink. The choice is yours. On Friday morning, after breakfast, you’ll have the opportunity to come together with the group to share and celebrate the work you’ve created during the week at our pop-up exhibition. Then it’s home time, hopefully bursting with ideas and fond memories of friends made. All materials and equipment are provided for every session, so you only need to bring your enthusiasm and essentials for a wonderful week away. Cancellation Policy
Right to Cancel and Receive Reimbursement The statutory 14-day cooling-off period does not apply to accommodation and leisure services provided on specific dates. We offer the following goodwill policy: Cancellation & Refund Policy: More than 12 weeks before arrival: Full refund minus £30 administration fee per person. 6–12 weeks before arrival: 75% refund. 4–6 weeks before arrival: 50% refund. Less than 4 weeks before arrival: No refund. Cancellations must be made in writing to info@bookaclass.com. Refunds (where due) will be processed within 10 business days. Travel / Holiday Insurance Recommendation We strongly recommend that all participants purchase comprehensive travel or holiday insurance at the time of booking. This should cover cancellation or curtailment, medical expenses, personal belongings, and any other relevant risks. We cannot be held responsible for any losses, damages, or additional costs you may incur due to cancellation, illness, injury, or other unforeseen circumstances if you do not have adequate insurance in place. Rescheduling: Possible up to 8 weeks before arrival (subject to availability). A £30 administration fee applies for changes made later. Our Right to Cancel: We may cancel a residential stay due to insufficient numbers or force majeure. In such cases we will first offer an alternative date before offering a full refund.
